What we are doing

Among the economically poor people along the Lake Tanganyika, it is very important to sketch perspectives for eradication of poverty and to realise them.
In this case, the initiatives of the people themselves are put in the foreground.
In connection with this, efforts are made in the areas of health, to ascertain nutrition, and in the endeavors to create new places of work (employment). The Medical Mission Support wants to put more emphasis on these important aspects as its contribution to the development of the country.
The work is oriented to community and population. The idea of holistic development perspectives is highlighted (Community Based Development). The goals of our mission are oriented upon people and their needs, not upon projects and programmes.
Our work is done according to arrangements of working together with relevant government employees and with other workers from organisations in the region, irrespective of races, religion and one’s origin.
